MOTHER OF J.W. MURPHY DIES; BURIAL IN WISCONSIN
Mrs. Jennie Murphy, age 72 years, mother of J.W. Murphy, proprietor of the Commercial Cafe on St. Joe Street, died yesterday afternoon, March 22, as a complication of diseases. The deceased was born in New York State, November 19, 1849, and lived the greater part of her life in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She leaves two sons, J.W. Murphy and Frank Murphy of Minneapolis. a daughter, Mrs. William Schaller of Chicago, granddaughter, Mrs. L.C. Whyte (Leona M. Kachel) who resides here, and a sister, Mrs. E.R. Rollins of Chicago. A short funeral service will be held at Behrens Undertaking Parlor at 2:30. Rev. Godsave of the Methodist Church officiating, after which the body will be taken to La Crosse, Wis. for burial.
