Sarah "Emma" Bowman, whose parents Isaac Bowman and Caltha Cotton Riley Bowman were natives of Kentucky, was born 6 Jan 1843 in Missouri. Sarah was their oldest child if nine; her siblings were: Mary, Abram, Elizabeth, Sophonia, H.C., William H., Isaac T., and Claudin R.

"Emma" married Martin V. Tull 8 Mar 1866 in Andrew County, MO. Martin worked as a farmer, and "Emma" as a housewife, farmer's wife, and mother. To this union, two daughters were born:
1. Anna B. Tull, b. 8 August 1876 in Andrew Co., MO, married John "Robert" Kelley, an attorney in general practice. Children: Anna Louise, John and Ruth. Anna died at age 75, on 2 Oct 1951 at St. Marys Hospital, Ironton, Iron County, MO. Anna was buried in the Park Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
2. Katharine Tull was born 27 Feb 1881 in Whitesville, MO. She was a school teacher and never married. Katharine died at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis on 14 Oct 1962 at age 81. She had breast cancer for 16 months. She was buried in a local cemetery at Whitesville, MO.

Martin preceded "Emma" in death by nine months. He died on his birthday at age 87 years, in Platte Township, Andrew County, MO."Emma" died at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 28 days on 24 Sept 1926 in Platte Township, Andrew County, MO. She had carcinoma of the stomach with Hemorrhage, and was buried in the Whitesville Cemetery, MO on 6 Sept 1926.
