Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland Wed 2 Feb 1910: "Funeral of Mrs. Barry-A very large funeral was that of Mrs. John Barry, which took place this morning at 9:30. A requiem mass was sung in St. Mary's Church and interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery. Much sympathy is manifested for Mr. Barry. He has five small children, the youngest only a few days in this world. Mrs. Barry was a fine, robust young woman, much admired by all who knew her for her cheery, happy disposition. She carried sunshine with her wherever she went. Her death is a terrible blow to her husband and her helpless little children."
Note: Matilda was the illegitimate daughter of Elkanah Grafton Ross. His death and burial information is unknown.
