T.A. (Cap) Evans, 74, of 2028 Colcord Avenue died at 8 PM Sunday in a local nursing home.

Thomas Andrew Evans was born Dec. 12, 1895 in Clark County Arkansas, Son of Robert David Evans and Mary Jane Hughes.
Preceded in death by his parents; one full brother Henry Jackson Evans; four half brothers; Clifford; Lon; Louis and David Earl Evans; Step mother Martha Ann Grant Evans.
Survivors: His Wife Mrs. Thomas Evans (Annie Mae Sellers Evans); one son Robert Earl Evans of Houston Texas; three grandsons. Three half brothers; Aaron Grady and Joseph Cecil Evans of Malvern Arkansas; Virgil Lee Evans of Yuma Arizona; two half sisters; Christine Ortkiese of Central City Kentucky; and Mittie Luker of Coffeyville Kansas .
Funeral services were held at 10AM Tuesday at Connally Funeral Chapel, Rev. John Harper officiating. Masonic graveside services were conducted by Herring Lodge No. 1224, burial in Waco Memorial Park.
Active Pallbearers; Elton Brooks, Barney Oldfield, Mark Harrison, Bill Flynn, L.E. Farrow, C. N. Farrow. Honorary Pallbearers; Herring Ave. Methodist Church Bible Class, Connally Funeral Home Employees.
