Robert David Evans born 1870 in Alpine Clark Co Ar. 8th of 11 children of Robert David Evans Sr and Matilda Jane Pitts married Martha Ann Grant April 26 1896 in Clark Co. Ar., born to them were 9 children Clifford, Lon, Louis , (these three died before 1910) Dvaid Earl, Aaron Grady, Christine married Jesse Ortkiese, Virgil lee, Joseph Cecil and Mittie Bell married Lester H. Luker.

Arkadelphia - Robert David Evans, aged 95, of Malvern, formerly of Arkadelphia, died Monday. He was a traveling salesman for 50 years, Survivors include five sons, Andrew Evans of Texas, Earl, Grady and Cecil Evans of Malvern and Virgil Evans of Arizona; two daughters, Mrs.Jesse Qrtkiese of Kentucky and Mrs. Lester Luker of Kansas, 24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Murry-Ruggles Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Robert was first married to Mary Jane Hughes February 18, 1891 Clark Co. Arkansas; Married by W. T. Sheets ----J.P. she was born 1875 to John Hughes and Paralee Matlock and died 1895 ?? at birth of second son, sons Henry Jackson Evans b April 19, 1892 d July 09, 1920 buried in Brushy cemetery, Sodom , Clark Co. Arkansas and Thomas Andrew Evans b December 12, 1895 d November 22, 1970 in Waco, Mclennan, Texas,buried in Waco Memorial Park. Find A Grave Memorial# 90687132.
