JAMES WILLIAM WELLER
54, of Springfield, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 29, 2004. He was born in Springfield on October 13, 1949, the son of William F. and Mildred L. (Hennig) Weller.
Jim had worked for the Springfield News-Sun for the past 15 years and had retired from the Ohio Air National Guard.
Survivors include his mother, Mildred L. Weller, with whom he made his home; his daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Brett Griffith; four grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, Mason and Meg Griffith; three sisters, Barbara, Diane, and Janice Weller; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Sue Weller; nephew, William K. Weller; great nephews, Nicholas and Tyler Weller; close family friends, Marylin Theurer and Nan Gregory, all of Springfield; and his faithful pet, Betsy. His father preceded him in death.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Julie Carmean of Central United Methodist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
