From the Beaumont (TX) Journal, Monday, October 14, 1946, p. 5:
Mrs. W. C. Byron, long-time resident of this city, died in her home in Jacksonville, Tex., Sunday evening at 8 o'clock. Funeral rites will be held in Fort Worth some time Tuesday morning and interment will be in the cemetery there.
Mrs. Byron, about 70, had resided in Jacksonville for the last five years.
Surviving are her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Morgan of this city and Mrs. Paul Gasow of Orange.
