Mrs. Ruby V. Moore
Ruby V. Moore, 86, formerly of 600 W. 14th, died Thursday, Feb. 19 at a Topeka Nursing home.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1900 at Clifton, the daughter of John and Bertha Dennis Carmichael. She lived in Topeka the past 40 years.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the former Methodist church in Burlingame.
She was married to Thomas E. Moore, May 30, 1918 in Burlingame. He died May 12, 1965. She also was preceeded in death by two sons, Alvin Eugene Moore in 1974, and Thomas J. Moore on July 13, 1986.
Survivors include a brother, Vernie Carmichael from Burlingame; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Mount Hope cemetery. Mrs. Moore will lie in state after noon today at Newcomer-Diffenderfer funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3003 Van Buren, Topeka, 66611.
