John E. Carmichael, 80, died Friday morning at his home, 2014 Clay. He was born March 6, 1871, in Whiting, and moved to Topeka 23 years ago.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bertha A. Carmichael of the home; three sons, Vernie Carmichael of Burlingame, Johnnie Carmichael of Topeka, and Clarence Carmichael of Route 9; two daughters, Mrs. Edgar Fisher and Mrs. Thomas Moore, both of Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Vira Totten, Haddam, Kan.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
