Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Doris "Ms. D" Guilbeau Clause, age 81, who passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 at her residence in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. Peter Mausoleum in Carencro. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Crowley, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Clause was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Carencro for most of her life. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro and was a member of the Bonne Mort Society, Ladies Altar Society and God's Little Dusters.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Clause Cormier of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Stacy Cormier of Austin, TX and Marty Cormier and his fiancée, Chasity, of Carencro; and three great grandchildren, Collin Cormier, Seth Patrick Cormier and Autumn Forestier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lou Clause; her parents, Don Guilbeau and the former Elby Stelly, both natives of Arnaudville.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday and will continue from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
