Lilly Mae Tucker Allen

1928 ~ 2012

Lilly Mae Tucker Allen of Springville was born September 13, 1928 in Fairview, UT, to Goldie Terry and Que Tucker.

She returned home to eternal companion, Doyce Allen, May 12, 2012.

She was raised in Fairview and attended schools there. She was a member of the LDS church and belonged to the South Ward in Fairview. Lilly graduated from seminary and North Sanpete High, and went to work in ZCMI in Salt Lake and lived at the Beehive House.

She married Doyce Allen in 1947 and the marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple. They lived in Mt. Pleasant and are the parents of 4 children, Mike (Jeanne) Allen, Randy Allen, Debbie (Monte) Larsen and Connie (Kevin) Blanchard. Lilly has 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

The family moved to Springville in 1968, she worked at Williams Pharmacy and Haywards Fashions in Provo. When Doyce retired they enjoyed spending winters in Lake Havasu, AZ, they enjoyed boating, golfing, biking, but most enjoyed dancing together. Doyce passed away in 2001, she later married Ward Gordon and he passed away in 2006.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed having them home at Christmas and making birthday cakes for them.

Lilly belonged to the 9th ward in Springville, Spring Creek Stake, and held numerous church positions and enjoyed her calling as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple. She said the greatest gift in her life was her testimony.

She is survived by her 2 sons and 2 daughters, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other family members and friends and was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

A viewing will be held Friday evening, May 18, 2012, at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, UT, from 6-8 p.m., and again Saturday, May 19th, at the Springville 9th Ward, 495 South Canyon Road, Springville, UT from 12-1:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, Utah.
