Goldie Tucker Mower, 87, of Fairview, passed away peacefully at her home on April 21, 2011.

She was born February 18, 1924 in Fairview, Utah to George Que and Goldie Terry Tucker. She attended school in Fairview and Mount Pleasant and was a graduate of North Sanpete High School. Goldie married Ted Reece Mower in the Manti LDS Temple on September 8, 1943.

Goldie had a strong testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved the Savior and the scriptures. She exemplified service throughout her life and was a true example of womanhood. She served faithfully in many church callings including Relief Society President and many years in the Primary.

Her most cherished calling was serving with her husband Ted for five years as ordinance workers in the Manti and Provo Temples. She volunteered at the Fairview Museum and was an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Fairview Senior Citizens.

Goldie was blessed with many talents which she used serving others. She was gifted in sewing, quilting, gardening, canning, and cake decorating. She was an amazing cook and made sure that each meal was beautifully presented with proper table and place settings. Her delicious hand-dipped holiday chocolates were unmatched. She devotedly loved and served her family throughout her life.

She is survived by her son Paul (Faye) Mower, Grantsville; daughters Lee Ann (Larry) Hansen and Janet (Chad) Johnson, Fairview; Sally (Brent) Dyches and Anita (Brent) Bailey, Moroni; Claudean (Randy) Cox, Bountiful; and daughter-in-law Denese (Lynn) Nish, Millville. Sisters Vada Nielsen, Providence; LuDean Seeley, Ogden; and Lilly Mae Allen, Springville; sister-in-law Dorothy Tucker, Roosevelt; twenty-seven grandchildren; and fifty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted who passed away in 1993; son Karl Sidney Mower; her parents; brothers Que Dell and Billie Bert Tucker; sister Ruby Eulala Tucker; and by her great-grandson Colton Dyches.
