Surviving Mrs. Weed, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Malinda "Kay" Bickley (Hal) of Chapin, SC, and Cheryl Lundy (Paul) of Dacula, GA; son, Gene Weed (Jennifer) of Irmo, SC; grandchildren, Cliff and Andrea Bickley, Morgan and Taylor Lundy, and Brandon and Aaron Weed; brothers, Carey Allen and David Allen of Irmo, SC, and Norris Allen of Sumter, SC; two aunts, Margie Sutton of Ruby, SC, and Nezzie Jenkins of Jenkinsville, SC. She was predeceased by her brother, J.P. Allen; and sister, Rosalie Waites.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2008, in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel. Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 237, Ballentine, SC 29002 or to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. The family would like to give sincere appreciation to Hospice Care of Tri-County. Mrs. Peggy and Nancy Geib were angels sent from heaven to help us care for our dear "Mama Lane".
