Melinda was married to Allen Risner buried at Gibson Bayou. There used to be a church on the site and he was buried directly behind the church. The church has been rebuilt exactly as the old one. They were not vuried together because of a flood that made it impossible to reach Gibson Bayou. She had 11 children with 3 sets of twins. However one twin died young. Children, Bert and Bertha, Ruby and Reba, Elsie and Elva (Elsie died young), Annie, no information on her,Charles, Mable, Ada, Della. She was believed to have died of breast cancer. No information on Elsi or Annie so they must have died as infants.
