Hold Rites On Friday For Charles Eckley, 88

Funeral services for Charles Eckley, 88, Stark county resident for many years were held at the Kidd Funeral Home in this city. Death occurred Tuesday, August 14, at Wasson Nursing Home in Galva, where he had made his home several years.

Services were in charge of Rev. Arthur O. Charsky, pastor of Toulon Baptist church. Mrs. Henry Elermann was the soloist, accompanied at the organ by Mr. Dwain m. Wallace.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

Interment was in the Springtown cemetery.

Charles Eckley, eldest son of Levi and Charlotte Eckley, was born in 1862 near Springtown, in Essex township. He had lived in Essex and West Jersey townships in Stark county and for a time in Bureau county. He was married twice and both wives preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, Frank of Princeville; two daughters, Mrs. Ella Orr of Duncan and Mrs. Lottie Belford of Peoria; two brothers, Dr. George Eckley of Monmouth and J. W. Eckley of Peoria and a sister Mrs. Carrie Stetzler of Kansas City.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
