Horton-Norman Leo Brooks, 91, Horton died here Monday in a rest home where he had been about a year.
He was born Feb. 11, 1885, in Trego County. He lived at Whiting before he moved to Horton five years ago.
Mr. Brooks was a carpenter and a bricklayer before he retired. He was a member of the Christian Church of Horton.
He was married to Lillie A. Guess April 21, 1909. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Raymond Brooks, Archie, MO and Duane Brooks, Horton; a daughter , Mrs. Juanita Gordon, Horton; two brothers, Pierce Brooks, Cassadaga, Fla., and John Brooks, Topeka; two sisters, Daisy Bonnel, Apache Junction, Ariz. and Mrs. Loraine Cook, Meriden; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Chaney Mortuary of Horton. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery at Whiting.
