Richard Healy Sr.
Richard W. Healy, Sr., 83, 1115 Ottawa Ave., died at 1:17 a.m. Saturday in Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo. He was born Jan 27, 1911, the son of William and Zepha (Shock) Healy. In 1944, he married Bernice Patton, who survives. He was employed by Defiance Screw Machine Products as a Machine attendant for 10 years before retiring in 1979. He was also employed at Bolley Motor Sales. Also surviving are three sons, Richard Jr., William and Carl, all of Defiance; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Roberta) Barton, Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Smith and Mrs. Timothy (Patricia) Johnson, all of Defiance; a brother Marion, Defiance; four sisters, Ilene Balbaugh of Fort Wayne, Marguite Perkins of Archbold, Delores English and Joann Brown, both of Defiance; eight grandchildren, one step-grandchild and two step-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Paul and Virgil and a sister, Goldie Davis. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Holtzapple will officiate. Interment will be in Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. tonight and from 2-4 and7-9 p.m. Monday.
