Marion A. Healy, 78, Defiance, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2005, at Mercy Hospital, Defiance.
He was born December 11, 1926, in Gladwin, Michigan, the son of William and Zepha (Shock) Healy. In 1950, he married Jane Fair, who survives. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1945-46, and a set-up man at Zeller Corporation until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, AMVETS Post 1991, Eagles Aerie 372, American Legion Post 300 in Napoleon, and was a life member of VFW Post 3360.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Lynne) Rittenour of Defiance, and Mrs. Jeffrey (Judith) Snyder, Toledo; and three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Barbara Jo; three brothers, Virgil, Richard and Paul; and five sisters, Eileen Balbaugh, Deloris English, Goldie Davis, Joann Brown and Marguerite Perkins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 3360. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Monday.
Preferred memorials are to Hospice the Caring Way of Defiance or St. John's Lutheran Church.
