Zenas Douglass was actually buried Saturday, April 5, 1919 as there were no burials during the winter months.

Zenas W. Douglass, one of the oldest residents of the town of Hudson, died Wednesday, December 4, at his home in Forada after a lingering illness, aged 69 years, 5 months and 17 days.
Mr. Douglass was born at Rumford Falls, Maine, June 17, 1849. When a young man he entered the boot and shoe business at Lynn, Massachusetts. While located there he married Miss Margaret E. McCurdy of Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1873. They moved to Beloit, Wisconsin and later to St. Cloud, Minnesota. In 1880 they came to Douglas county, locating on a farm in Hudson.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Sumner and William, and two daughters, Etta and Gertrude.
Funeral services were held at the Forada Presbyterian Church, Friday, December 6, Revs. Secord and Owen officiating. Interment was in Kinkead Cemetery in this city.
