Sumner Benjamin Douglass, 69 Dies In Texas

Sumner B. Douglass, 69 formerly of Enderlin, North Dakota died December 8, 1952 at his home in Beaumont, Texas. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Mr. Douglass, a retired Soo Line Railroad baggage clerk, moved to Beaumont upon his retirement in 1948.
Born October 1, 1883, at Alexandria, Minnesota. Mr. Douglass married Elizabeth Furtney of Glenwood, Minnesota in 1903.
A member of the Masonic Lodge and the Episcopal Church of Enderlin, he leaves a son, Orville of Circle, Montana; a daughter, Mrs. J. Roy (Ednah) Peterson of Enderlin; a brother, William, of Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. B. D. Brackin of Alexandria and Mrs. Ben Foster of Hayden Lake, Idaho: four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Mrs. Douglass died July 8, 1932.
Services will be Saturday at 2 in Engstrom Funeral Home in Alexandria. There will be a Masonic grave side service.
