Nelvia Vander Berg, 92, of Sioux Center died December 1 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in Hull.

Services were Saturday, December 4, at First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center.

Mrs. Vander Berg was born May 31, 1907, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Art and Carrie (Franken) Van Kley.

When she was two years old, her family moved to Canada where they lived until she was 16 and they moved to Sioux Center.

She married Dick E. Vander Berg in Sioux Center on October 28, 1927. He preceded her in death on October 29, 1992.

She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include three children, Milton and Marlene Vander Berg of Holland, Michigan, Eldon and Wilma Vander Berg of Sioux Center and Karen Vander Berg of Sioux Center; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ellen Vander Stoep of Lynden, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson; and two sisters, Jeanette De Ruyter and Florence Friess.
