Died 11:45 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 1993, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 67 and a native of New Roads. He was a retired pipefitter and a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 198. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Joel P. Hilbun. Graveside services at Mars Hill Cemetery, McComb, Miss., at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Survived by wife, Jo Tarver Monceret, Baton Rouge; two daughters, Laura Rogers, Mobile, Ala., and Cheryl LaGreca, Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Jerry Levy and Mrs. Gracie Broussard, both of Baton Rouge; a brother, Dr. J.E. Monceret, New Roads; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Jennifer, Jessica and Jeremy Rogers, all of Mobile, Lance "Peeper" Monceret and Marisa Ann LaGreca, Chicago.

Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Monceret Sr.; a brother, Leon Monceret Jr.; and a sister, Garnet Alsbrook. Pallbearers will be John Ramirez, Frank Morgan, Joey Gomez, Mokey Tarver and Nick and Jimmy Hudson. Honorary pallbearers are Lance "Peeper" Monceret, Jonathan Rogers and Jeremy Rogers.
