Robert S. Walker, 86, of 3360 Monticello Road, Madison, died Thursday, April 11, 1996, at Morgan Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late L.H. Walker, Sr. and the late Nannie Shepherd Walker. He was born October 3, 1909, in Morgan County. Mr. Walker was a retired dairyman. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and was a deacon of the church for approximately 40 years. He was married to the late Elizabeth Wells Walker. Mr. Walker is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nannette Patrick and Mrs. Penny and George West, all of Madison, one son, Mr. Robert W. and Anne Walker, Madison, three sisters-in-law, Mrs. S.I. Walker and Mrs. George Walker, both of Eatonton, and Mrs. L.H. Walker, Madison, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13, at Antioch Baptist Church at 11 o'clock. The Reverend W.T. Booth and the Reverend Clifford Jett officiated with interment at the Madison City Cemetery. Simmons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
