She was born February 24, 1943 in Galesburg the daughter of Joseph and Lucielle Peterson Knutson. She married Richard S. Ryden whom she had six children and later married Chet Banks. The love of her life for over 27 years was William G. Conroy.
She was truly a kind, caring and patient mother to her six children, David Ryden and Kevin (Tracy) Ryden, Annette Gustafson and Patricia (Ron) Baumgardner. She is also survived by two nephews, Chris and Tim Knutson; eight grandchildren, Danielle, Brandi, Chad, Joshua, Erica, Dustin, Randi and Jake; and five great grandchildren, Gaby, Zach, Tucker, Logan and Alexis. She is preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, two sons, Richard L. Ryden and Jeffrey Ryden and one brother James Knutson.
Joceile worked as a secretary for Greg's Tire and Auto for 8 years. She had also worked for the Kresge Corporation for several years. She attended Galesburg schools and Carl Sandburg College. Jody enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, knitting, gardening and crafts.
Cremation will be accorded. No services are scheduled. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Heartland Healthcare Center Activity Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
