She lived all of her life in the Ozark community five miles southeast of Houston.
She married Lawrence Albert West of the Ozark community March 10, 1929. They had one son.
Mrs. West was baptized with her twin sister, Ada; and 10 others after a two-week revival at the Ozark Baptist Church in September 1927. At the time of the death, she was the longest continuous member at Ozark.
She worked for 19 years at International Shoe Co. and later retired from The Lee Co. in Houston. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed needlework, cooking and canning.
She was preceded in death by his husband; one son, Carl Wayne; one brother, William "Bill" Thomas Crowley; six sisters, Letha Chambers, Augusta Haught, Ada Dixon, Zelta Burch, Nellie Brick and Ida West.
Surviving are two grandsons.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the Ozark Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Hamilton and the Rev. Kendall Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Ozark Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
Visitation is 6 to 8 o'clock tonight (Thursday) evening at the Evans chapel.
