Ora Sutton Crowley, daughter of John B. and Ada Sutton, was born October 16, 1877, at Houston, Missouri.
She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lawrence West, August 17, 1962.
Her age was 84 years, 10 months and one day. She lived practically all of her life in Texas County.
On December 26, 1900, she was united in marriage to Lewis Crowley. To this union nine children were born. Two daughters preceded her in death and her husband died April 16, 1961.
She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors are her seven children, Mrs. Augusta Haught, Mrs. Ada Dixon, Mrs. Lawrence West, and William T. Crowley, all of Houston, Mrs. Zelta Burch of Solo, Mrs. Nellie Brick of Rocky Ford, Colo., and Mrs. Ida West of Anacortes, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three half-brothers, Fred Sutton of Houston, Ed and Covert Sutton, both of Newton, Ia.
Funeral services were at 2:00 Monday afternoon, August 20, at Elliott-Duff Chapel with the Rev. Kirby Fletcher officiating. The Amazing Grace Quartet sang requested hymns. Burial was in Ozark Cemetery.
