Elizabeth Ann May died Monday in Roy, Utah, following an eight month illness.

She was born in Bountiful, Utah on November 2, 1859, a daughter of Joseph Henrie and Susan Lasley Henrie. She was raised and educated in Davis County.

She married James May on December 29, 1876 in Logan, Utah.
Following their marriage the couple made their home in Call's Fort, Utah, later they moved to Rockland, Idaho. They returned to Box Elder, Utah in 1918 and made their home in Honeyville, Utah, where they have resided since.

For many years she operated a hotel in Jackson, Wyoming.

She was a member of the LDS Church and wrote poetry as a diversion for herself and friends.

Burial was held in the Call's Fort Cemetery, Honeyville, Utah.
