She married James May on December 29, 1876 in Logan, Utah.
Following their marriage the couple made their home in Call's Fort, Utah, later they moved to Rockland, Idaho. They returned to Box Elder, Utah in 1918 and made their home in Honeyville, Utah, where they have resided since.
For many years she operated a hotel in Jackson, Wyoming.
She was a member of the LDS Church and wrote poetry as a diversion for herself and friends.
Burial was held in the Call's Fort Cemetery, Honeyville, Utah.
