On Thursday July 18th one of the most esteemed and oldest inhabitants of the neighborhood "fell asleep." The event was not unexpected, as he had been ailing for some time, and had suffered much of late from a wound which he received in the leg during the Civil War.
Survived by one brother age 88 of St. Paul, Minnesota and Mrs. Reynolds of Johnsonburg.
He married Marian Fillmore, daughter of James Fillmore, cousin of President Fillmore. The had five children of which three survive, Frank, John and Mrs. Mertie Barbour.
