He married Effie DECKER in 1907 and they had Harold Glenn, Mildred Ruby, Dorothy Elizabeth, Helen Louise, Maxine Margaret and Juanita Ruth. Effie died a few weeks after Juanita was born. Shortly after their marriage they lived in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, then they moved to Sullivan, Illinois then to Albert City, Iowa and then finally to Leon, Iowa.
An interesting fact we grew up with great grandfather telling us he was half Algonquian though later grandmother[his daughter] changed it to Cherokee.
