The obituary for Mrs. Dora Bence Maynard, wife of M. S. Maynard and daughter of Mrs. Martha E. Bence of Whitley, stated that she had died at her mother's Dec. 9, 1903. Funeral and burial services were at Whitfield Church. Mrs. Maynard was born Feb. 27, 1865. She married Mr. Maynard and to them were born two sons. Surviving besides the husband and sons were her mother, five brothers and three sisters. Windsor Gazette- 10 Dec 1903
