WIFE OF SUPERVISOR DIES SUNDAY MORNING AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Following an illness extending over six months, Mrs. Grace G. McClellan, wife of R. F. McClellan, chairman of the county board of supervisors and member from this district, died Sunday morning at her home, 1203 Santa Monica Boulevard.
Mrs. McClellan was prominant in social and club circles in Sawtelle, Hollywood and Los Angeles, and as a member of the board of directors of the Santa Monica chapter of the Red Cross, she performed splendid service during the war. She was in charge of establishing auxiliary boards as well as soldiers welfare and relief work in Sawtelle.
Mrs. McClellan was born in Princeton, Minn., where she was married to Mr. McClellan 31 years ago. Her father, George D. Loring, who survives her, was a charter member of the first Masonic Lodge organized in Minnesota. She came to California 20 years ago.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Neil, who, with the husband and father, lives in Sawtelle.
The funeral service will be conducted at the family residence at 2 p.m. Wednesday, in charge of the Eastern Star.
