Services for Anitra Jensen, 73, of 2746 Lynner Drive, Des Moines, IA, were held Friday, July 17, 1998 at Luther Memorial Church in Des Moines, of which she was a member. Burial was at Glendale Cemetery.
Mrs. Jensen died Monday, July 13, 1998, of a lung disorder at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.
Anitra Lenora Kruse was born June 14, 1925 to Sigurd and Sigrid Kruse in Tyler, MN. She moved to Des Moines in 1945. She was united in marriage to Roland Jensen in September of 1946 in Des Moines. Anitra was a homemaker and a member of Grandview Alumni Association and the Danish Immigrant Museum.
She is survived by her husband, Roland; two daughters, Gail Kelse of Cherry Valley, IL, and Marilyn Jensen of Woodward, IL; three sons, Wayne of Magnolia, AR, Doug of Des Moines, IA, and Dan of Kansas City, MO; three sisters, Edna Shriver of Tyler, Harriet Sorensen of Peterborough, NH, and Milda Ecklund of Hot Springs, AR; one brother, Arild Kruse of Tyler; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to her church, Grandview College, or the Danish Immigrant Museum.
