TYLER – Funeral services for Sigrid Kruse, 96, of Tyler will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Danebod Lutheran Church in Tyler. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Utoft-Johansen Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service one hour before the service.
Mrs. Kruse died Tuesday at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler.
She was born June 12, 1890, in Diamond Lake Township in Lincoln County to Peter and Marie (Haugberg) Linnett. She attended Marshfield Township Country School and Danebod Folk School. On Nov. 20, 1912, she married Niels Kruse in Diamond Lake at the Diamond Lake Lutheran Church. They farmed near Tyler until 1963 when they moved into Tyler. In 1975 she entered the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the Danebod Lutheran Church, the Danebod Danish Ladies Aid and the Social Hobby Club.
Survivors include: two sons, Arild of Tyler and Eilif of Temple City, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Edna (August) Shriver of Tyler, Mrs. Harriet (Robert) Sorensen of Wilton, Conn., Milda Feldtmose of Minneapolis and Mrs. Anitra (Roland) Jensen of Des Moines, Iowa; one brother, Nis Linnett, and one sister, Mrs. Ane (Clarence) Hansen, both of Tyler; 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, two brothers, one son and one grandson.
