Raised in St. George, Utah, Mrs. Pulsipher lived in Mesquite, Nevada throughout most her life. She and her husband built and operated the LaMesa Motel. After selling the motel, they managed the Western Village from 1961 to 1975. They purchased the Rio Virgin Telephone Company in 1946. Mrs. Pulsipher remained a board member to the present time. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the Primary and as a Visiting Teacher in the Relief Society. She loved music and the arts. She contributed to the Virgin Valley fine arts and as a supporter of education she provided scholarships to Dixie State College.
Surviving family include one son, James Pulsipher, Mesquite, NV; two daughters, Barbara (Curtiss) Frehner, Alamo, NV; Catherine (Edward) Stewart, Alamo, NV; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; siblings: Don Holt, St. George, UT; Jim Holt, Washington, UT; Louis Holt, Vernal Ut; Bud Holt, Washington, UT; Bill Holt, Salina, UT; Verna Hughes, Mesquite, NV, and Ann Stock of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandchild, Timothy Wayne Frehner.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 8, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. (Nevada time) at the Mesquite, Nevada LDS Stake Center. Visitations will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 300 West St. George Blvd., and on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Interment will follow services in the Mesquite City Cemetery
