Martha Jane's first husband was William Mack. He died February 9, 1877 and the family relocated to Crawford County. Given the headline of her obituary which follows, she must have married again.

Mrs. Martha Campbell Died Saturday Morning. - Survived by Eight Children - Body Taken to Indiana County.

Mrs. Martha J. Campbell, aged 76 years, died at the residence of her son, G.G. Mack, East Spruce street, at 3 o'clock Saturday morning. She had been sick for only a week, suffering from an acute bowel disorder.

The deceased came to Titusville seven years ago and during her residence her formed the acquaintance of a large number of people, to whom her death will bring a feeling of the deepest sorrow. She was a woman of the most kindly character, devoted to her family and her friends. She is survived by the following children: John P. and George G. Mack and Mrs. S.N. Conover of this city; Mrs. A.B. Kerr of Gresham; W.S. Mack and Mrs. H.E. St. Clair of Oklahoma; Robert Mack of Webrum, Pa., and Miss Violet Campbell of Latrobe, Pa. The body was taken Saturday afternoon to Bethel cemetery, Indiana county, for burial.
