GEO. G. MACK, EX-RESIDENT, DIES, AGED 77: He and Brother Started Milling Business Here: George G. Mack, 77, for many years a resident of Titusville, died Saturday evening at the home of his son in Ithica, NY following a brief illness.
Mr. Mack was born in Indiana county on Jan. 17, 1870, and came to Gresham in 1882. In 1892 he married Miss Lena Kerr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Kerr of the Bethel Community, who died May 10, 1941.
In 1889 he entered business in partnership with his brother John P. Mack, under the name of Mack Brothers Mills and carried on business successfully until his retirement in 1932.
During his entire lifetime in Titusville Mr. Mack was deeply devoted to Christian work, and a member of the First Methodist Church, which he supported untiringly.
He leaves his daughter, Mrs. Ione M. Mendenhall, and his son, Marion W. Mack, with whom he lived in Ithaca; a brother John P. Mack of this city, and a sister, Mrs. W.P. Campbell of Latrobe.
The body is at the E.L. Cummins funeral home, where friends may call this afternoon and until 11 Tuesday morning. Services will be held at the First Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Mark H. Perry, Th.D., will officiate, assisted by Rev. William P. Murray, D.D. Interment will be in Union cemetery on the Church run road. Friends are requested to omit sending flowers.
