Can I open my heart to Jesus
And let the Master Surgeon's skill
Repair my valves and ventricles
While he whispers, "Peace. Peace be still."

Can I open my heart to Jesus
And let the Master Surgeon's skill
Lift up my wounded spirit
As he says, "Just do my will."

Yes, I'll open my heart to Jesus
And let the Master Surgeon's skill
Restore my mind and body
While my spirit cries,"Obey, I will."

I opened my heart to Jesus
And let the Master Surgeon's skill
Calm my troubled spirit
From his cross upon the hill.

Oh Jesus, with your Master Surgeon's skills
Make my heart more meek and mild.
Help me return again to thee
As if I were a little child.
