W. F. Boyd, 79, died this morning at 4:25 at the home at West Seventh street after three years illness. He suffered from paralysis of the throat and had been quite ill for the past 13 days.

Mr. Boyd was a retired farmer, and was well known in the city and county. He was a devout member of Ninth Street Christian church.

The survivors are his second wife, Mrs. Kate Boyd; a son; Frank 11, Boyd, city; a brother, R. H. Boyd, RusselIville road; half sister, Mrs. Mollie Whitlow, Los Angeles; a half brother, Forest Duncan, city.

The funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at 10:30 at the Harton Funeral home by his pastor, the Rev. Charles I. Stephenson, and burial will be at Riverside cemetery.
