Death Of County Man
The funeral of Frank Reeves Boyd, 65-year-old LaFayette Road farmer who died yesterday afternoon, will be conducted at 4 p.m. today at Keightley Funeral Home.
His pastor, Dr. William Peyton Thurman, of First Baptist Church, will be in charge of the service, and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Boyd, who had been treated for a heart condition for more than two years and had been hospitalized several times at Nashville during the period, suffered a heart attack and died about 2:30 p.m. while seated on the front lawn of his home.
During the 1930s. Mr. Boyd was a member of the city police force but during the war he was employed at Fort Campbell. He spent his last years in farming.
He was born in the Church Hill community May 28. 1888, and the son of the late Wallace R. and Sallie Reeves Boyd. He spent most of his life in Christian County. Mr. Boyd was a veteran of World War l.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lou Reeder Boyd; three aunts, Mrs. Mallie Duncan Whitlow, Los Angeles. and Mrs. R. H. Boyd and Mrs. Forrest Duncan. city; and the following cousins: Mrs. Maude Ryan, Miss Florence Cayce and J. V. Duncan, city; Mrs. S. J. Carpenter, Redwood City. Calif., and Harry Boyd,
Madisonville.
Pallbearers are Roy B. Carloss, Elbert Jenkins. Herman King, Archie Collins, Hebert Marquess and J. C. King.
