Frank Basler, Sr., Route 1, Menasha, a former Chilton resident, died at Calumet Memorial Hospital, October 19. He had suffered a stroke at his home two days prior to death.

He was born July 30, 1874 in Mequon Township, Ozaukee County and moved to Chilton with his parents in 1893. He was a farmer all his life. He married Mary Fuchs in Chilton and they moved to rural Menasha in 1920. His wife passed away in 1939.

Survivors include one son, Frank, at home; three sisters, Mrs George (Margaret) Bruckner, Chilton, Mrs John (Jennie) Stewart, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs Henry (Anna) Dorn, New Holstein. Two grandchildren and four great grandchildren complete the family.

Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Church, Sherwood with burial in the parish cemetery. Rev Henry Schmitt, pastor, officiated.
