Mrs. Spears died Thursday March 1 at the Hospice Homeplace in Tyler.
She was born April 22, 1938 in Compton to Dee and Lorene Alexander. She was a retired teacher having taught in Mt. Enterprise, Henderson, Pearsall, and Victoria. Mrs. Spears was also a member of the Mt. Enterprise Church of the Nazarene, and the Gideon International Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Billy Alexander, Wilbur Alexander, sister Hazel Alexander, and sister-in-law Carolyn Alexander.
She is survived by her husband Glenn Spears of Henderson, son Fairon Spears of Henderson, daughters, Tanya Davis & husband Kevin of Henderson, Alane Schumpp & husband Bill of Jacksonville FL, sons Gaylon Spears & wife Shari of Rock Hill, SC and son Terrell Spears of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by sister Doris Johns of Hurst, brothers Willard Alexander of Tyler, and Mack Alexander of Smyrna, TN, sister-in-laws Linda Alexander of Lufkin, and Nancy Alexander of Henderson, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jake Goode, Luke Hickman, Riley McGaugh, Bill Hoebel, William Bill Sears, and Don Davis.
