Graveside services for Billy D. Alexander, 75, of Henderson, formerly of Mount Enterprise will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, at the Caledonia Cemetery with Rev. James Cobbs officiating.
Billy passed away April 16, 2009, at the V.A. hospital in Waco. Billy was born to Dee and Lorene Hunt Alexander on April 4, 1934, in Rusk County. He graduated from Mount Enterprise High School in 1952, then became a car salesman and built Maynard-Ford Facility in 1964, now Fairway Ford in Henderson.
Billy was top 10 car salesman in the State of Texas, making the 500 club, winning numerous trips and awards. He also was in real estate for many years.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Lorene Hunt Alexander; sister, Hazel Alexander; brother, Wilbur Alexander; sister-in-law, Carolyn Alexander.
He is survived by wife, Nancy Fancher Alexander of 51 years; son, Bill Alexander and wife Jo of Henderson; daughter, Kathy Alexander Norman of Henderson; grandchildren, Shelton Alexander of Austin, Zachary Alexander of Henderson, Lucy Alexander of Henderson, Kandace Norman Hoover and husband John of Corsicana, Clint Norman and wife Kim of Quitman; great-grandchildren, Jackson Hoover, Julia Hoover and Carson Hoover of Corsicana. He also is survived by brothers, Willard Alexander of Tyler, Tyler Mack Alexander and wife Linda of Smyrna, Tenn., and sisters, Patsy Spears and husband Glen of Henderson, Doris Johns and husband Gordan of Hurst; sister-in-law, Linda Alexander of Lufkin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
