Margaret Jane (Sharp) Frazier was born on the site of the Wilson Creek Battle ground, near Springfield, Mo. December 23, 1846 and departed this life January 26, 1924 at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 3 days. She was married to Elisha Edmund Frazier on July 20, 1865. To this union were born six sons and six daughters. Five of her children have preceded her into the great beyond. They are: Joseph L., Charles E. Sarah Victoria, Martin Eli and an infant son. She is survived by her husband, five daughters, Mrs. Mary Dunham of Nixa, Mo.; Mrs. Susan Holder, Mrs. Nannie Farris, Mrs. Phebe Cobb of Clever Mo.; Mrs. Lydia Peebles of Republic; and two sons, James S. of Clever and Rev. D. S. of Greenfield, Mo.; also 42 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends who mourn their loss. She was converted in September 1865 at which time she and her husband united with the Methodist Episcopal Church of which they have remained faithful members to the day of her death. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, a good neighbor and loved by those who knew her. Mother has gone to be with those who have gone before where we shall soon go, as we hope to make an unbroken family around the great white throne.
