John P. Holton Sr. 62, of Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Altoona, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 1995, at his home.
He was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Altoona, the son of the late Clarence J. and Betha (Heck) Holton.
Mr. Holton retired from the Navy after more than 20 years service. He had combat tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and the Fleet Reserve Branch in Florida.
He attended Altoona High School.
Surviving are three sons: John P. Jr. of Camp Lejeune, N.C., William J. of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Jeffery of Switzerland, Fla.; a sister, Dollie Neuhart of Mechanicsburg; two brothers: Ralph and Jess, both of Altoona; and seven grandchildren.
Interment was made Aug. 25, in Orange Park.
