Henry Clay ADERTON, 76, of Mexico, MO, formerly of Vandalia, MO, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Waters Funeral Chapel. The the Rev. Ron Franklin officiate and burial was in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Mr. ADERTON died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 1996, at the Missouri Veterans Home, Mexico, MO.
Born Feb 6. 1920, in Vandalia, he was the son of Thomas Douglas ADERTON and Elizabeth JEWILL-ADERTON. He was a high school graduate and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. ADERTON had been employed by the Vandalia Electric Company and Curtis Wright Aircraft. He also had worked for the railroad after his discharge from the Army Air Corps.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Harvester, MO. He also was a life member of American Legion Post 416 at Farmington, MO, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Edris Cloe ADERTON-HEMRY, Trenton, MO, and Mrs. Juanita Mae ADERTON-ADAMS, St Charles, MO.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Geraldine ADERTON, who died in fancy.
Pallbearers were Bill OZENKOSKI, Jason and Brent OZENKOSKI, Jeffery and Mark ADAMS. and Russell WHITE.
