Juanita Mae Aderton-Adams was the daughter of Thomas "Tom" Aderton and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jewell-Aderton. Her mother died when she was 4 years old, the family moved back to Vandalia, MO, until she married at the age of 18.

She married Malcolm Cleveland Adams on June 6, 1944, they were married for 56 years. The marriage took place in the parlor of the home of a Baptist minister in Bowling Green, MO. The moved to Texas where he was stationed, then transferred to Hot Springs, AK, till he was released from the Army then they moved back to MO.

Before the age of 18, she worked in Vandalia area at the dress factory, Wilson Drug Store and Smith's Restaurant on Hwy 54.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son: Mark Adams; brother: Henry Clay Aderton; sisters: Geraldine and Edris Hemry; grandaughter: Melinda Dawn, great-grandaughter: Kayla.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Jennifer Kay Adams-Ozenkoski (Bill) and Theresa Faye Adams and the wife of Mark Adams, Judy Kay Purl.

She is survived by 7 grandchildren: Brent (Christi), Jason (Laura), Melissa, Michelle, Vance, Rhonda (Marty), Jeffery (Amanda): 11 great grandchildren: Cody (Tiffany), Melody (Clayton), Austin, Mindy, Ethan, Rhyen, Chloe, Alana, Brandon, Nathan, Alyssa; 3 great-great grandchildren: Grayson, Remy, Romeo.

She is survived by a nephew: Tony.

She was a founding member of the First Baptist Church of Harvester. She was a 4-H Leader, Girl Scout Leader, a member of the ladies "Sunshine" Extension Club, Chairman on the Anti-Drug Program called "ON YOUR DOORSTEP" and worked with the Sheriff's Dept. as part of the Aet Linkletter-Drug Program.

She loved gardening, canning, sewing, crafts, letter writing and fishing.
