Mrs. C. A. Crumbaker Dies in Manhattan
Mrs. Adda Belle Crumbaker, 85, of 1107 N. Juliette, Manhattan, died early Tuesday morning, September 6, at Memorial Hospital in Manhattan, where she had been a patient about two weeks.
She was born July 9, 1892 at Fostoria, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Brown.
She was married to Charles A. Crumbaker on May 7, 1912 at Onaga, and they lived on farms in the Onaga community many years. They later lived at Stockdale before retiring and moving to Manhattan. Mrs. Crumbaker was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Manhattan and the WSCS of the church; a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the Mill Creek Club.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Evan B. Crumbaker of Belvue and Don E. Crumbaker of Brewster; eight daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Dent of Merriam, Mrs. Wendell (Frances) Moyer, Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Shandy and Mrs. Jack (Carol) Adolph, all of Manhattan, Mrs. Robert (Nada) McCool of Junction City, Mrs. Norman (Ardath) Murry of Bartlesville, Okla.; Mrs. Edward (Roberta) Peters of Great Bend, and Mrs. Fred (Marjorie) Knorr of Arlington, Tex.; one brother; Clare H. Brown of Sacramento, Calif.; 28 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan with the Rev. Charles Bennett and the Rev. Travis Sieber officiating. Burial is in Sunset Cemetery at Manhattan.
