Sadie Belle Hessong, 1910 Virginia Ave., died Tuesday morning at the Washington County Hospital after a short illness, aged 83 years.

Wife of the late Guy Robert Hessong, Halfway, she was the son of the late Albertus and Martha Danner Stover.

She was a member of St James Brethren Church.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs Donald Carbaugh, Brunswick, Mrs Anna May Loy, Lessburg, Va., Mrs Harry Semler Jr, Sharpsburg, sons, Robert Milton, Leonard I, Richard E, all of Hagerstown, Keller Albertus, at home, brothers, Ferdinand Stouffer, Tilghmanton, Reichard, Williamsport; sisters, Mrs Bessie Burgan, Baltimore, Mrs Earl Andrews of Hagerstown, 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Leaf Funeral Home , Halfway on Thursday at 2:30 with the Rev John Rowsey officiating, assisted by the Rev Kenneth Schmidt, Interment in Manor Cemetery.

The family will meet friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7 to 9.
