Miss Ida Rowlett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rowlett, died at University Hospital at Omaha Monday night at 10:15 o'clock, after being in poor health for the past year or more. She had undergone operations and treatment for tumorous and cancerous growths at various times during the past several years. She had been taken to Omaha for treatment two weeks ago last Sunday.

A short service was held for Ida Rowlett at the Nicholas funeral chapel (Palmer, Nebraska) at 10 a.m. last Friday, conducted by Rev. J. J. Clark, assisted by Rev. F. A. Napier. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Darling sang a due with Miss Ethel Newlon at the piano.

Another service was held at the Methodist church at Madison at 2 p.m. and burial was made in the Madison cemetery in the family burial lot.

Pall bearers were Jack Dinsdale, John E. Wegner, Arnold Aschwege, Charles Tibbetts, Alfred Dankert and Harold Fechtner, all of these being classmates of Ida, graduating from Palmer high school in 1936. Flower girls were: Misses Ann McGonagle, Mildred Rusmisell, Mildred Shirey and Beth Colborn. The first two were Ida's classmates.

Ida Lee Rowlett was born February 15, 1917, near Pierce, Nebraska and passed from this life to her eternal reward August 8, 1938, at Omaha, Nebraska in the University Hospital, at the age of 21 years, 5 months and 24 days.

In 1929 she moved with her parents to Palmer, Nebraska.

Ida had been a patient sufferer for months, her thoughts being always of others.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Rowlett of Palmer, three sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Lenora Booher of Wood Lake, Nebr., Frank of San Diego, Calif., Robert, Ruby and Helen of Palmer, a niece and nephew, other relatives and a host of friends who will miss her. A brother, John David, passed away in infancy.
