Lenora A. Booher went to be with Jesus on Wednesday Oct. 8, 1997. She struggled with complications of diabetes. Lenora was a homemaker and a licensed Assembly of God minister. She had been a resident of Grand Junction since 1987. Lenora was born Febuary 18, 1915 to Frank and Rosa Rowlett in Norfolk, Nebraska. She grew up attending school in Palmer, Nebraska and graduated valedictorian and her class.
Lenora married Virgil L Booher on June 5, 1935 in Palmer Nebraska. He survies. They pastored in Nebraska, Colorado, Minnsota, Wyoming, South Dakota and moved back to Colorado, where they retired. Her husband is also a retired Assembly of God minister. Lenora enjoyed quilting, music, art and she wrote poetry. She loved life and she loved her Lord.
Surviors included; her husband; 4 sons, Davis of Loma, John of Kent Waashington, Virgil Jr. of Aurora and Paul of Torrington, Wyoming; 4 daughters, Ruth White of Paw Paw, Michigan, Mary Diamond of Glade Park, Lois Baird of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Juanita Hanson, of Canon City; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Blouhorn of Central City Nebraska and Ruby Schlueter, of St. Paul, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by one grandson Gene; one granddaughter Andrea; her parents; two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 1997 from 5:00 p.m. to 7;00 p.m. at the Callahan-Edfat Mortuary with a funeral service on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary, Burial will follow the funeral at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.
